Justin was on the hunt for his first out of college job at the Kent State career fair. As he wandered the floor, he passed a booth for Yardi Systems. By pure chance, a recruiter pulled Justin aside as he walked by. They chatted, Justin shared his intern experience, and before he knew it, he had an interview with Kevin’s team. That interview went great, Kevin hired Justin… and neither of them knew they’d just changed each other’s lives.

Over the next few months, Justin & Kevin developed not-so-subtle crushes each other. Their one-on-ones slowly turned into long chats about everything except work. Justin found excuses to spend time together: watching Kevin’s dog (Sasha), watching American Horror Story and even sending a drunk "you up?" text after a night out.

Justin asked Kevin to watch a Taylor Swift documentary. Kevin said yes right away. Justin casually mentioned he couldn’t drive home after having one White Claw—and that night turned into the beginning of everything. They started dating quietly (office romances, you know), sneaking around coworkers and ducking behind cars when spotted in the neighborhood.

They officially became boyfriends over wine at Michaelangelo’s Winery!

Then COVID hit, and they ended up quarantining together for months—which confirmed what they already knew: this was something special.

They adopted a husky puppy, Bayley, joining Sasha, and the two began building a life together - raising their dogs, renovating Kevin’s townhouse, and eventually moving in under the same roof.

Justin and Kevin moved to Austin Texas to escape the Cleveland cold and start a new journey together!

On a weekend trip to Galveston Beach, Kevin surprised Justin with a sunrise proposal on the beach!

Then, Justin and Kevin took a trip to Maui (which was almost canceled by a tsunami) and Justin proposed back!
